Packet tacos are loaded with additives and flavour enhances and can leave you feeling thirsty. But not these homemade tacos….they’re naturally delicious!

Prep: 10 min | Cook: 10 min | Serves: 4

Beef Tacos

Taco Mince

Stage 1:

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 500g beef mince

Stage 2:

  • 3 tsp ground cumin

  • 2 tsp dried or fresh oregano

  • 2 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp minced garlic

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • ¾ tsp salt

Taco Fillings:

  • 12 corn tortillas or taco shells

  • 1 red onion, finely sliced

  • 2 cups cos lettuce, shredded

  • 1 cup shredded tasty cheese

  • 2 tomatoes, diced

01 Heat oil in a large frypan over medium high heat. Add stage 1 ingredients and cook for 5 minutes, or until browned.

02 Add stage 2 ingredients and ½ cup water to pan. Stir through and simmer uncovered for 5 minutes.

03 Prepare taco filling ingredients.

04 Serve mince into wraps with filling of choice.

Dietaries:

For a diary free option, omit the cheese.
