I’m April.

A teacher, recipe developer, content creator, stylist and founder of Recipe Mumma. With degrees in Food Studies, Nutrition and Science, I’m passionate about developing recipes that are simple, nourishing and delicious, using everyday whole food ingredients.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

In 2018, as a new mum to twins, I found myself very time poor, especially when it came to cooking.

I no longer enjoyed the leisurely scroll of searching for recipes online. Instead, I found myself frustrated with the amount of flicking between web pages, scrolling through blogs and link clicking I had to do, in order to simply view a recipe. You feel me?!

I just wanted to be able to see the ingredients and method instantly, so I could save it, make it or move on!

So in 2020, with frustration in my belly and a vision in my mind, I founded Recipe Mumma.

As a former Food Studies educator and teacher of 10 years, I found it very natural to create my own recipes, which I decided to display on single images - for added convenience.

I joined the world of social media and began sharing my recipes with other mummas and families. My platform grew fast and the recipes were incredibly well received - our signature single image layout was a hit!

OUR MISSION

At Recipe Mumma we’re dedicated to creating recipes that are quick to view, easy to follow and delicious to eat, using wholefood ingredients.

We aim to empower you with the skills and confidence to enable you to cook well, for yourself and your family.

OUR GOALS ARE SIMPLE

    Our recipe cards, website and Instagram pages have all been designed to give you access to the information your want, quickly and efficiently.

  • We believe that great health comes from eating food that have been made with nourishing ingredients, that have undergone minimal processing and are refined sugar free.

    That’s why our recipes are made with wholefood ingredients whenever possible.

  • Our recipes are designed to teach people how to cook, with easy to follow steps and simple instructions.

    Our videos are provided as an added level of support to give a quick overview of the cooking process or sneak peek of the final product.

  • Decision fatigue is real!

    It can be hard to come up with new and interesting meals and recipes to cook each day.

    That’s why we’re dedicated to creating meal plans and cookbooks that take the hard work out of decision making. Giving you quick access to simple options, for you and your family.
