Enjoy adding your favourite toppings to this basic porridge recipe, which will be on the table in just 12 minutes!

Prep: 2 min | Cook: 10 min | Serves: 2

Basic Porridge

  • 1 cup rolled oats

  • 1 cup milk of choice

  • 1 cup water

  • 2 tsp maple syrup or honey

  • ½ tsp cinnamon

01 Add all ingredients to a medium saucepan and bring to the boil.

02 Instantly reduce head to low. Simmer for 5 minutes, or until porridge is thick, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and spoon into bowls.

03 Garnish with favourite toppings: nuts, seeds, yoghurt, fruit, coconut, nut butter, etc.

Store: Leftovers in an air tight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.

Dietaries:

For a dairy free and vegan option, use a dairy free milk such as soy, oat or almond.
